She started her professional career as Law Associate, United Bank Limited, Karachi, Pakistan [Nov-2009 to Aug-2011]. She had been a Law Associate, at Rivzi, ISA, Afridi and Angell (now known as RIAA Barker & Gillette), Karachi, Pakistan [Aug-2011 to Jan-2012] and Litigation Law Associate, Rasheed Razvi & Associates, Karachi, Pakistan [Aug-2012 to Dec-2013] before joining MCAS & W Law Associates, Karachi, Pakistan [Jan-2014 to Oct-2018] where she later on rose to be a Partner. She also served as the Director of Advocacy & Programs, Rasheed Razvi Centre for Constitutional and Human Rights (RCCHR) [Jan-2021 to Jan-2024] and Director Public Relations, Legal Aid Foundation for Victims of Rape and Sexual Assault [Jan-2020 to Jan-2024].

She also served as Senior Partner in SIDDIQI, VAWDA, USMAN & MEMON LAW ASSOCIATES, Karachi, Pakistan [OCT-2018 TO JAN-2024], where she handled the both the portfolios of Litigation and Corporate services. She secured favorable decisions and relief from courts, demonstrating litigation prowess and legal acumen.

In February 2024, Amna Usman started her independent legal practice as a sole practitioner, under the name and banner of AMNA USMAN | ADVOCATE & LEGAL CONSULTANT | SOLE -PRACTITIONER- Karachi, Pakistan, and continues to advise clients on legal matters about civil, property, banking, company, and various areas of law specified under areas of expertise and ensuring compliance with current legislation. She drafts and reviews legal documents, contracts, and agreements with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
